Allison LaCour is an award winning IATSE local 798 makeup artist/designer and groomer based in New Orleans. A Florida licensed Aesthetician for almost 20 years, she has expressed her talent in a variety of industries such as editorials, local and national publications, commercials, politics, a makeup artist for tv and film, and celebrity glamour.

Allison’s passionate dedication to her craft, attention to detail and commitment to staying on top of industry trends have allowed her to continuously evolve and adapt to the ever-changing world of beauty and needs of tv and film projects from current day to period pieces. Aside from creating some of the characters in tv and film that you know and love, Allison is a go-to artist for clients seeking a personalized makeup and grooming design spanning all skin tones, textures and cultural preferences. 

In the fall of 2022 and into 2023, Allison was one of 12 cohorts in the first of its kind Department Head training program given by the partnership between Warner Bros Discovery x Black Beauty Roster. 

Allison gained insight into successfully managing a makeup department and what it takes to deliver upon the expectations of studios and creatives.

It is Allison’s wish to bring her creative talents and change to and fill the void for BIPOC department heads within the film industry.
